The purpose of this test is to identify a pathogenic or likely pathogenic mutation(s) in genes that have been associated with hereditary forms of Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and/or Parkinson's disease.

What type of DAP testing does Phi Life Sciences do and what do the tests look for?

This panel covers genes with dominant, recessive, and
X-linked inheritance patterns, and may be helpful in clarifying recurrence risk and determining which relatives may be at risk, particularly if the inheritance pattern is unclear from an individual’s family history.

Medicare and Medicaid have covered the cost for people with certain conditions. Private insurance companies may pay if your doctor considers the test medically necessary.
